What I Love in January

1:50 AM and I’m pumped to write this post! I have no idea on how I’m going to write it but if you managed to somehow read this on January 31st, then that means I’ve obviously made up my mind on the format of this post. How is it the end of January already? Where did January go? Is this a transition period between 2016 and 2017 ’cause it passed by in a blink of an eye.

I’m bringing back monthly favourites series to my blog but with a little bit of twist. I’ll be using the Sunday Currently format for my What I Love in ___ posts but I’m still figuring out what I want to feature in this series. I don’t want to drown my blog with a lot of blog series so Erin Talks for weekly posts and What I Love in ___ for the last day of the month should be okay, right?

We celebrated our two year anniversary on January 11th! Well, not really celebrating ’cause he’s like, 7000 miles away but it’s okay because we can celebrate our anniversary together next year! This September should be our 9th year of being together but oh well life happens and people separate and the lucky ones find their way back to each other, eh?

My uncle (mom’s brother) is in the ICU right now. His condition has gotten worse and we’re honestly not sure if he’s going to make it but I hope he does, in shaa Allah. My mom lost a brother and a sister in 2015, a brother in 2016, and I hope she won’t lose anyone this year. That many deaths in the family in the span of 2 years is just too much..

Can we take a moment to say prayers to my January books that I am was supposed to read this month? I couldn’t get past page 54 of the first book.

Prison Break! If you have heart problem, I wouldn’t recommend watching this show because every episode almost makes me die from heart attack. I can’t handle the stress. I really can’t but once you start watching, you won’t be able to stop and then it’s 3 seasons later…

The Chainsmokers – Paris – Amazing song to get high with.

Álex Ubago – A Gritos de Esperanza — Do you remember telenovela airing on TV3/NTV7 years and years ago? Well I was an avid fan of telenovelas back then and one of them that I still remember until today is Luna, La Heredera. However, I couldn’t find that drama with English subs online which sucks btw but the opening theme is A Gritos de Esperanza and it’s so good! I’ve been listening to it for a good few hours now. Mauricio Garcia is to dieeeee for! Ugh. I have the full episodes here but sadly there isn’t any English subs available online.

Hush Puppies Wedge Heels! Mine has beige leather around the ankle and blue quilt pattern on the toe strap. A few weeks ago, my mom, my sister, and I was trying our high heel shoes in the kitchen (we do that sometimes ’cause obv we won’t wear them outside) when my mom pulled out these shoes from the cabinet. I totally forgot I had them! I used to wear them a lot for classes and they’re one of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned. I’ve been wearing them a lot this month!

Journals and pens! I don’t wanna get too much on this topic because I’ll be posting my journal collection some time this week so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Awful? I don’t self-diagnosed myself as a depressed person because I have my good days and bad days but I’m spending too much time worrying about things that I can’t change. I wanna vomit. I wanna cry. I want the earth to swallow my being. I hope things will get well soon. Just because I don’t talk about my problems with anyone doesn’t mean I don’t have any and oh boy do I have a lot..

What to look forward to next month?
